Back from Beirut with a bag full of 12″ and 7″ digged in diverse obscure places like antiquities shop, Voice of Stars label’s shop, CD & Tape shop… Medline bring you a selection of belly dance, lebanese, armenian & turkish artists.

In Beirut he met the owner of the label Voice of Stars, Daniel Der Sahakian. He found in his shop, in the Borj Hamoud district, a lot of belly dance records from his old stock. He also put his hand on some Fairuz records.

Vinyl are extremly rare in Beirut and it is very difficult to find shop that sell wax in very good or mint conditions. I follow the advice of Daniel for the choice of belly dance artists and bring you a selection of the best Voice of Stars artists in the first part of the mix.

There is a huge collection of records but very hard to find. And it is the begining of a new discover like the ethiopian, caribean, asian or afro grooves. There is a lot of matter to be exploited so just search
